During the summer of 2012, I interned with Asha by ADM, a high-end jewelry company, now based in Greenwich, CT. Throughout the summer, I worked with the founder and CEO Ashley Dodgen-McCormick and now full time blogger, Kat Tanita, who ran the company’s PR. As a small team, we all pitched in with everything, from design to media outreach, while my focus was in PR and Media.

Marketing & PR

Updated and maintained the company’s website, blog, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and other company social media sites. Along with content strategy and posting, I also handled email marketing, a main source of sales, with custom designs, which I created.

Media & Influencer outreach

I successfully placed Asha jewelry in the following magazines and shows:

I also worked directly with influencers, identifying appropriate women to work with who lined up with the brand, reaching out and working with individuals to come to a mutually beneficial agreement.

Events, Community management, & more

As a small team, I was able to pitch in and work on tasks outside of solely Marketing and PR. This included organizing the logistics and working during the “Accessorie Circuit” trade show, daily work in Quickbooks, organizing the logistics around a sale with Gilt Groupe, handling customer service & community management, working with stores for jewelry placements (Jack Rogers, Tuckernuck, etc.), and more.

I also was able to design two pieces of jewelry while I was there that was sold from 2012-2014.
